HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued today the Amiri Decision No 14 of 2017 appointing the Board of Directors of Qatar Central Bank (QCB).
The Decision stipulated that the QCB Board of Directors shall be chaired by HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the Governor of QCB, and HE Sheikh Fahad bin Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, Deputy Governor - Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with the following members: HE the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics Dr Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabit; HE Dr Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim, HE Khalaf Ahmad Al Manai, the Representative of the Ministry of Finance; HE Sultan Rashid Al Khater, the Representative of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce; and Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi.
The Decision said that the membership of the Board is four years renewable for a period or other similar periods.
The Decision is effective starting from 19/06/2017 and is to be published in the official gazette.
