His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with HE French Prime Minister Manuel Valls today.
The meeting took place at the site where the International Conference in support of economic, social and sustainable development in Tunisia is convened.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them, in addition to discussing a number of topics on the agenda of the conference, particularly the joint efforts to support Tunisian economy and investment and solidarity with Tunisian people.
The meeting discussed regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Syria, Iraq and Libya about which the two sides stressed their commitment to support the presidential council of the national reconciliation government, and called on the international community to provide support to institutions which Libyan political agreement granted it international legitimacy to maintain Libya's unity, security and stability.
HH The Amir also discussed with the French Prime Minister the repercussions of the phenomenon of terrorism not only in the region but also internationally, and ways of dealing with this phenomenon.
