HH The Amir Crowns Winners of 31st Equestrian Race

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani crowned on Saturday the winners of the 31st race of Arabian Purebred horses competing for HH The Amir's trophy and sword in Qatar Racing and Equestrian's race track in Al Rayyan.

HH The Amir awarded the golden sword to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, owner of “Ebraz” horse who won the eighth race. HH The Amir presented the trophy to HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani owner of “French King” horse who won the seventh race.

HH The Amir also presented the Silver Sword to Khalifa bin Shuail bin Khalifa Al Kuwari after “Fakhir” horse won the sixth race.

HH The Amir also awarded the winners of the show jumping event, as follows: Faleh Suwaid Al Ajami who won the sword after coming in first place. Awad Al Qahtani, who came in second place. Salmeen Sultan Al Suwaidi, holder of third place.

His Highness also awarded prizes to the four winners of the heritage race category, as follows: Nasser Hamad Mubarak Al Hajri, Abdulrahman Abdullah Faleh Al Hajri, Thallab Ali Thallab Al Hajri, and Salah Qasim Mohammed Al Yafei. HH The Amir also honored the festival's sponsoring companies.

The race and the award ceremony were attended by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and a number of Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, heads of diplomatic missions accredited by the state, horse owners, and fans of horse racing.
