HH The Amir Chairs 1st Meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani chaired the first meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment for 2015.

The council followed up on the implementation of its previous decisions.

It also examined a report presented by HE the Prime Minister on the legal steps being taken to implement the directives of HH The Amir in order to merge Qatar Development Bank and Enterprise Qatar.

The agenda of the meeting focused on the following:

– Previewing investment strategy.
– The latest developments in government projects and initiatives aimed at bolstering the economy.
– The latest developments related to the petrochemicals industry and Qatar Petroleum projects.
