In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Baroness Symons,
Lord Redesdale,
Dear Friends,
It is a pleasure for me to meet you again. It has become a habit of mine to meet you each time I come to London to exchange our views on a number of issues of common interest, chief of which are the deeply-rooted, satisfactory friendly relations between our countries, which we are keen on consolidating in all domains, including the increasingly growing economic field. An indicator of this is what will be achieved shortly in liquid natural gas export where Qatari supplies of gas to the UK, as of 2008, are expected to meet 17-20% of its consumption.
Besides the economic field, our relations with your friendly country include our countries’ common belief in freedom, justice and democracy, as well as the mutual understanding about a number of regional and international issues.
We, dear friends, expect that you will continue your efforts to strengthen the relations between our countries and broaden their prospects in all domains.
Thank you and I wish your friendly country more progress and prosperity. Hopefully, I will see you in Doha.
