On behalf of His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH the Personal Representative of HH The Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani honored Friday the winners of the second edition of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award, which was held under the auspices of the United Nations and at its headquarters in Geneva.
His Highness presented the scientific research and education award to China's professor Wang and Professor Rice from the U.S. The award of creativity of young people went to Indonesia's Saya Perempuan Anti-Korupsi (SPAK) for their 'I am a woman against corruption' campaign. The innovation award went to the 'I'm against bribes' campaign in India. The lifetime achievement award went jointly to Ital's Colombo Gerardo and Jordan's Professer Mohey el Din.
HH the Personal Representative of HH The Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani unveiled the award at the UN Palace in Geneva, in the morning just ahead of the ceremony. Attending the unveiling ceremony were former President of Tunisia Dr Al Mouncef Al Marzouki, UN's Michael Muller, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Yuri Fedotov, and many other ranking UN officials.
The delegation accompanying HH the Personal representative of HH The Amir also attended the ceremony.
