His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended today a dinner banquet held by HE President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman at the presidential residence in Prague Castle, in honor of HH The Amir and the accompanying delegation.
Before the banquet, HE President of the Czech Republic renewed his welcome to HH The Amir, the accompanying delegation and Qatari businessmen, noting that bilateral relations are witnessing growing development thanks to the commitment of leadership in the two countries to enhance them to the benefit of the two friendly countries and peoples, especially at the economic level.
HE the Czech President highlighted the investment opportunities available in the Czech Republic, and at the same time looked forward to a long-term cooperation with the State of Qatar. At the conclusion of his speech, He wished HH The Amir success.
For his part, HH The Amir in his speech expressed his appreciation to HE the President and the friendly Czech people for their hospitality with which HH The Amir and the accompanying delegation were met with. He also expressed his thanks for the feelings conveyed in HE the President’s speech and his keenness on supporting friendly relations between the two countries. HH The Amir stressed that he shares the same keenness and will continue striving in order to have those relations reach a level that meets the aspirations of both sides.
HH The Amir also expressed his congratulations to the Czech President on the country's presidency of the European Union in its current session, stressing his confidence that the Czech Republic can contribute to efforts of finding peaceful solutions to crises and issues that threaten international peace and security through the important role of the European Union in that field. In this regard, HH The Amir indicated his aspiration to enhance cooperation with the Czech Republic in international forums, and to work with it to support all these efforts.
The dinner banquet was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir. On the Czech side it was attended by Their Excellencies ministers, in addition to a number of businessmen and ranking officials from both countries.
