In the Name of God, The Most Compassionate, The Most Merciful

Your Excellency Mrs. Prime Minister
Your Excellencies,

I extend to you and the brotherly people of Bangladesh our sincere condolences on the painful mishap in one of your industrial establishments, where innocent lives were lost. We were very distressed to hear the sad news.

Today, despite this sorrowful event, we have been accorded in your sisterly country, warm welcome and hospitality for which we are most thankful and grateful.

The geographical, historical and Islamic bonds that link our two countries represent the foundation of our communication to promote our ties and bring closer our stances on issues of mutual concern.

We are gratified with what has been achieved so far in our cooperation efforts, where the skilled and well-trained labour, part of which is provided by your country, played a major role in the implementation of development plans in the State of Qatar.

We also look forward to expand the scope of that cooperation in the future to the benefit of the two brotherly peoples in achieving development and prosperity.

The State of Qatar realizes that maintaining regional stability in South Asia serves the interest of its peoples and the objectives of development in its countries. This makes us keen on backing international calls that are aware of the importance of peace and prosperity in an area we consider vital for world peace and security.

Meanwhile, our two countries coordinate together within the Islamic Conference Organization out of their keenness on the success of the Organization in playing its role in service of the interests and goals of the Moslem peoples and countries, so that the Organization remains a symbol of brotherhood of the Islamic countries and reflects a true image of our religion and its sublime Sharia.

From this point our common efforts endeavour championing the Moslem peoples who are still striving to gain their just rights. In this regard, we call for giving the Palestinian people all their rights by establishing their independent state in Palestine with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

Your Excellencies,

Honourable Audience,

The State of Qatar believes that establishing peace in the Middle East is the basic foundation for building a region that lives in stability and security and has the necessary environment to enable it to channel its human potential and natural resources to achieve development and decent living for its peoples and eliminate the manifestations of tensions and conflicts which recur every now and then.

The State of Qatar, which condemns terrorism in all its forms and images and considers it a grave threat that seeks to move from one place to another, calls for the need to distinguish between terrorism as an extremist behavior that is not permitted by any code or law, and between the right to lawful resistance based on international laws and resolutions.

We believe that achieving democracy and social justice, and equality in rights and duties is the ideal means to realize prosperity and dignity for the peoples and to lay down the sound foundation to build the modern state. Hence, we have started to move steadily towards that goal in order to establish the sound bases for future generations, and to present a development experience in which we seek to reconcile our keenness on building a modern society and our concern to observe our values and traditions that support this course.

In conclusion, allow me Mrs. Prime Minister, to reiterate to you my thanks, and my consideration for the people of sisterly Bangladesh, wishing you all progress , prosperity and success .

May the peace, the mercy and blessings of God be upon you.
