And praise be to God for this meeting has brought us together and I therefore declare this Fifth Consultive Meeting open.

      I would like to commence by expressing my pleasure at being hosted by our brother King Fahad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and our brother His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince

      This consultive meeting is of great importance in our joint march and has become more so under the present critical circumstances, which our region and the world are going through.

      As we were deeply bereaved by the bombings in Riyadh, we express our condemnation and denunciation for this heinous terrorist act, and extend our condolences to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people on the lives lost as a result of these bombings.
